Host Agreement

This Host Agreement (“Agreement”) applies when you supply GPU compute capacity to GHive from a computer with a GPU (a “Host Machine”). It is in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. Where this Agreement conflicts with the Terms of Service on a host-specific matter, this Agreement controls.

1. What you are agreeing to do

You supply GPU compute capacity to GHive by making a Host Machine available through our host agent software. GHive sells that compute to its customers in its own name; you do not contract with them. It is used in two ways: GHive’s customers rent GPU time on the machine by the hour (a “Rental”), and, while it is not rented, GHive may send it image and video generation jobs (“GHive Jobs”, section 2). You confirm that you own the Host Machine, or have the owner’s permission to use it this way, and that doing so does not breach any other agreement you have (for example an employer’s or landlord’s policy, an internet plan that prohibits it, or an electricity connection whose tariff does not allow sustained commercial use; some domestic tariffs treat it as misuse, so check with your electricity distributor).

2. What we run on your machine

Renters do not get access to your desktop, your files, or your accounts. Their work runs inside an isolated container built from an image we publish. A renter cannot choose an arbitrary image — only images on our approved list can run on your machine.

GHive Jobs. While your Host Machine is verified (section 7), online, not paused, inside any hosting hours you have set, and not rented, GHive may send it image and video generation jobs that GHive customers submit through our website or API. A job runs inside a container built from an image we publish, using AI model weights our agent downloads to your machine (these can take tens of gigabytes of disk). Your machine runs one job at a time. A Rental always takes priority: no job is started on a rented machine, and a job in progress is stopped when a Rental begins. Prompts, pictures and generated images or videos pass through your machine only to do the job; the result is uploaded to GHive and is not kept on your machine. You do not need to opt in to GHive Jobs separately; pausing hosting or setting hosting hours stops them as well.

We do not guarantee that isolation is perfect. Security is a shared reality: you should not host on a machine that holds sensitive personal or business data you cannot afford to expose, and you should keep your operating system and GPU drivers updated.

3. Your earnings

• GHive pays you 80% of the price it charges for time your GPU is actually rented, and retains 20%. The price is taken before GST: the GST a renter pays on top goes to the government and is not shared. Rates per GPU type are published by us and shown on your host dashboard. This 80% applies to Rentals; GHive Jobs are paid as described in the next point.
• Disconnecting during a Rental. A Rental “ends on your side” when, while it is running, your Host Machine goes offline (it is shut down, restarted, loses power or internet, or the host software is closed) and does not come back within five minutes, or the Rental stops on your machine without the Renter or GHive having stopped it (for example, you choose to end the Rental and quit the host app). The Renter loses their work when this happens. For that Rental you are paid 30% of your share (that is, 30% of the 80% in the point above, or 24% of the price GHive charged), and GHive returns half of the price to the Renter. Because earnings accrue as a Rental runs, the difference is deducted from your GHive account balance when the Rental ends and shown on your host dashboard and wallet. We never deduct more than your balance holds at that time. This does not apply when the Renter stops the Rental, when the Renter’s Wallet runs out, when GHive ends the Rental under the Acceptable Use Policy or for a disk-space limit, or when the outage was on GHive’s side.
• For a GHive Job, you earn your published hourly rate for that GPU type, multiplied by 1.5, for each second of GPU time the job uses, with a minimum of 10 seconds per job and a maximum of the time limit set for that kind of job. You are paid for that time whether or not the job succeeds. You are not paid for a job your machine stops reporting on without returning a result. What GHive charges its customer for a job is separate from, and does not change, what you earn.
• You do not set the price. GHive sets the prices it charges its customers and the rates it pays Hosts; we may change rates, and material changes will be notified.
• Earnings accrue in your GHive account as they are metered. They are not a bank balance and do not earn interest.
• Earnings you spend on the platform (for example renting a GPU yourself) are no longer payable to you as cash.

4. Getting paid

• You must provide accurate payout details — your name as per PAN, your PAN, and a UPI ID. We are required to hold PAN for tax purposes and cannot pay you without it.
• The UPI ID must be on a bank account in your own name, the name on your PAN. We verify your PAN with the Income Tax Department and the UPI ID’s account holder with your bank, through a verification provider, and we may hold payouts until both checks pass. One person may hold one host account; a PAN or UPI ID already on another GHive account is refused.
• Payouts are made to the UPI ID you provide. During the beta, payouts are processed manually and may take several business days after you request one.
• There is a minimum payout of ₹1,000.00. Earnings below that stay in your wallet and are paid in full once your balance crosses it — nothing is lost and nothing expires. If you stop hosting and leave, we will pay out what you have earned even if it is under the minimum.
• We may deduct tax at source where the law requires it, and we may withhold a payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, spoofed hardware, or a breach of this Agreement, while we review. Where tax is deducted at source, it is calculated on your earnings before any GST.
• GST. Your earnings are the full amount GHive pays you; GHive does not add GST on top. If you are registered for GST and must charge it, your earnings include it. For each payout, send us a tax invoice addressed to GHive for the payout amount, with GST worked out inside it: for a ₹1,000 payout at 18%, that is ₹847.46 plus ₹152.54 GST. We may hold a payout until we receive a valid invoice. If you are not registered, or are under the composition scheme, no tax invoice is needed and the same amount is paid.
• You are responsible for your own income tax, and for reporting and paying any GST you charge GHive in your GST returns.

5. Founding Host guarantee (only if we offer it to you in writing)

We may offer a minimum monthly payout to early hosts. Where we do, it applies only if all of the following are true for the month in question, and it tops your earnings up to the guaranteed amount rather than being paid in addition to them:

• your Host Machine was online and available to rent for at least the proportion of the month we state in the offer;
• hosting was not paused by you for extended periods, and the agent was kept running and updated;
• your hardware matched what you listed, and your account is in good standing;
• the guarantee period stated in the offer has not expired.

The guarantee is a limited, time-boxed promotional commitment. It is not a salary, a retainer, or a guarantee of demand.

6. Your machine, your costs

Electricity, internet, hardware, cooling, repairs and replacement remain your cost and responsibility. GPU compute causes sustained load and heat; that is inherent to hosting. We are not responsible for wear, degradation, or failure of your hardware, and you should host only if you accept that risk.

7. Availability, pausing and leaving

You can pause hosting at any time from your host dashboard, and you can stop hosting and uninstall whenever you like — there is no lock-in or notice period. Pausing takes effect for new rentals; a rental already running may continue until it finishes or is stopped. To leave without affecting your earnings, pause first and let the current Rental finish: shutting down, disconnecting or uninstalling while a Rental is running reduces your pay for that Rental (section 3). We do not require any minimum uptime, except where a Founding Host guarantee applies (section 5).

Verified Host Machines. GHive may verify a Host Machine and its owner, and decides whether and when to do so. Until at least one of your Host Machines is verified, your Host Machines together serve at most two Rentals at the same time; the others show as in use until one of those ends. GHive Jobs (section 2) are sent only to verified Host Machines. We may withdraw verification, and a Host Machine we flag (section 8) or whose owner’s account is suspended (section 12) is not verified. To add a Host Machine you must first confirm your email address.

8. Honest hardware

You must not misrepresent your hardware. We measure GPU performance independently and compare it against what your machine reports. If they are materially inconsistent we may flag your host, stop using it, and withhold related payouts pending review. Deliberate spoofing is a serious breach and may end your account.

9. Renter conduct on your machine

Renters agree to our Acceptable Use Policy. If you believe a renter is doing something abusive or illegal on your machine, report it to support@ghive.co.in and we will investigate and can stop the rental. We are not liable for a renter’s conduct, but we will act on credible reports.

10. Renter and customer data on your machine

A rental runs on hardware you control, so you are technically capable of reading what a renter puts inside their instance. You agree not to. Specifically, you must not access, copy, retain, inspect or disclose a renter’s files, model weights, datasets, code, credentials or network traffic, and you must not attempt to defeat the isolation of a renter’s container, except where strictly necessary to operate your machine or where we or the law require it.

Anything you do learn about a renter’s work is confidential. Do not use it for any purpose, and do not keep it after the rental ends. This obligation survives the end of this agreement. Breaking it is grounds for immediate removal from GHive, forfeiture of unpaid earnings, and any legal remedy available to us or to the affected renter.

The same applies to GHive Jobs: the prompts, pictures, and generated images and videos that pass through your machine belong to GHive’s customers. You must not access, copy, keep, or share them, or interfere with a job, except where strictly necessary to operate your machine.

Nothing here requires you to monitor renter activity. If you have a genuine reason to believe a renter is doing something illegal on your machine, report it under section 9 rather than investigating it yourself.

11. You are not our employee

You act as an independent party. Nothing in this Agreement creates employment, partnership, agency or a joint venture between you and GHive. You decide whether, when and for how long to make your machine available, and you are free to provide the same machine to other services.

12. Suspension and termination

You may leave at any time. We may suspend or remove a host where hardware is misrepresented, where the machine is unreliable enough to harm renters, where we are required to by law, or where this Agreement or the Acceptable Use Policy is breached. Earnings properly due to you for completed rentals remain payable, subject to section 4.

13. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law. Subject to that, GHive is not liable to you for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data, and our total liability to you is limited to the payouts due to you in the three months before the claim.

14. Changes

We may update this Agreement. Material changes will be notified in-product or by email, and continuing to host after that means you accept the updated version. The version you accepted is recorded against your account (current version: 2026-11-01).

15. Governing law and contact

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: support@ghive.co.in.
